Say it ain’t so! An insider at Dior has confidently reported that Marc Jacobs has moved from his role as Louis Vuitton’s creative director and joined the team over at Dior. “Marc Jacobs is indeed the new creative head,” said the Paris-based insider, adding that Jacobs is a “better fit” than John Galliano, who was sacked earlier in the year due to racist and anti-Semitic remarks. Apparently the deal is just “awaiting signatures”. More info coming asap!
Clothing retailer, Zara, is accused of slave-like condition when authorities raided several of Zara’s factories in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Some of the conditions are described below:
“Aside from the unsanitary and hazardous work environment, workers faced over 16-hour shifts, were prohibited from leaving the factories, in this case homes with almost no windows, and were paid a salary in between R$274 and R$460, less than the legal minimum wage of R$545.”
