Crappy/blurry cell phone pictures from the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at De Young. Unfortunately I didn’t have a better camera on hand, but the experience was memorable. I wanted so badly to touch every corset (including Madonna’s cone bras … that’s not creepy right???), PVC coat, fluffy tulle gown, and bejeweled skeleton bodice. I’m extremely happy I got to see my two favorite Gaultier collections, Mermaids and Virgins, in person. An individual does not have the opportunity to be in the presence of a couturier’s work on an average day, ya know?
